Today I'm starting something new on Theater Helper. Once a month I'm going to post on theater related sites that have caught my interest for whatever reason. Sometimes they may be new sites I've noticed, or sometimes it could be something new happening on a site I frequent. Here are my picks for August.
La Bricoleuse- This is a blog on costume craft artisanship. I was especially interested by her recent post highlighting recent medical findings on how spray paint can be absorbed through the skin. She also has a lot of great info on masks. Bluegobo- This site is dedicated to collecting video snips of Broadway productions. It's a fantastic collection of some really great performance moments. The Stagecraft Mailing List- This is a listserv for theater professionals, generally in the building/ implementation areas of theater. They LOVE to brainstorm the solutions to technical problems, or how to avoid the accident that just happened at XYZ theater. Their archives are available on their site too.
