Here are a couple places on the web that caught my interest this month.
Paint Poker- I’ve been working a lot this month and haven’t had much time to surf the web. When I have had some down time, I found this online game that’s still in beta testing that I’m having a blast playing. It’s like scenic painting crossed with gambling. I find it very addictive, but I also think there must be some value in this exercise of my color recognition skills.
Scenic Artists Forum- I’ve been a member of this forum for a month or so now and have already learned a lot. It really is a forum for scenics, so if you aren’t one there are better listserves for you. You do have to apply to become a member. If you are a scenic artist, however, there is fantastic discussion and brainstorming here for you. For example, recent discussions include sizing techniques for gold leafing, chemicals that painters should avoid when pregnant and safe working practices.
