Model pieces are tiny, but sometimes to make them look perfect you just want to smooth out a corner, round over and edge or get rid of a rough spot.
Sandpaper is big, floppy, awkward and just meant for bigger projects. A dremel takes off too much too fast. I have found the ideal tool for these jobs is either an emery board or a nail file. I lose little things while I’m working, so I tend to go with emery boards, because you can get a huge package for around a dollar, and have lots on hand and not flip out because you can’t find the only one. They don’t last as long as a nail file does though.
