This paint is some sort of special resin, officially, but it works pretty much the same way Rosco Supersats work and in my experience mixes fine with regular acrylics and latexes.

The variety of colors available vary a little from the supersats, and variety is always good to have.  Some of their colors feel like they are more likely to have more white in them so when mixing that causes gray and muddy issues.  Some of their colors are nice and pure, but it's hard to tell what you are going to get until you get it any try to mix it.

Artist Choice paints tend to be less translucent than supersats.  I believe this is why they feel more white to me.  While the whiteness can be a disadvantage when mixing, it can be a real advantage when you want to paint in a more opaque fashion.

This paint is available in both quart and gallon cans.  Because I tend to prefer the supersats, I don't use this paint too often.  When I do, I usually use the metallics.  I like the way the Artist's Choice metallics go on to a surface.  I think it is easier to get smooth results without brush strokes showing with this metallic than with some others.  I also like that I can thin the metallics and use them as a glaze to give a surface a worn metallic effect or I can use them at full strength for better coverage.

I think this paint generally rots a little faster than a supersat, latex or acrylic, but not as quickly as a casein.
